Locking Systems

Integral locking systems are an essential feature of all our security doors. The lock is built into each door and frame during its manufacture to the customer’s individual specification to provide a significant competitive advantage in terms of strength and security.

We offer two different locking systems:

All in one lock

• Key operated with a main cylinder that operates all working parts
• 3 central cylindrical locking bolts, with additional bolts at top and bottom

Double functions lock

• Same features as TR 400, but with additional service key
• Combined in larger locking case

Both locking systems are available for ENV1627 Class 3 and Class 4, depending on individual customer requirements.

Both locking systems are available for “Push” or “Pull” security doors, depending on individual customer requirements.

Additional security features that are standard on all Torterolo & Re doors are:

• Drill-proof lock security plate
• Door limiter – anti smash and grab device, much stronger than a traditional safety chain
• Spy hole – wide angle for added security

Door Furniture & Frames

All frames are manufactured to order, installed with each door and feature:

• 2mm thick steel plate
• Fully adjustable hinges (vertically and horizontally)
• Powder coated brown RAL finish as standard
• Natural oak threshold

Handles

• “Verona” style by Hoppe is standard
• Other styles are available
• Central positioning also available

All our security doors are supplied with the customer’s choice of:

• lock covers
• spy hole

Security with Style

We offer a huge range of bespoke doors designed and produced by Torterolo & Re, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of security doors. All Torterolo & Re doors and their frames are steel reinforced and burglar proof. In addition, unlike some competing products, they are all sound proof (Rw 40dB standard; 35dB with letterbox) and certain models also comply with European fire resistance standards ( EI 30).

ENV1627 Security Standard

All our security doors meet the European standard, ENV 1627 (established in 1999).

Class 3 doors are manufactured to:

Prevent forced entry by the “standard burglar” - therefore

• Withstand assault with crowbars for 5 minutes
• Withstand pressure on the lock of 600 kg
• Withstand pressure on the corners of 300 kg.

Class 4 doors are manufactured to:

Prevent forced entry by the “experienced criminal” - therefore

• Withstand assault using crowbars, drills, saws for 10 minutes
• Withstand pressure on the lock of 1000 kg
• Withstand pressure on the corners of 600 kg.

In addition, all doors are sound proof & certain models are also fire proof.
